Privacy notice

Server logs. Our web host records the standard web-server access log for every request: timestamp, IP address, requested URL, response status, user agent, and referrer. These logs rotate at 30 days and are used solely to diagnose errors and to size hosting capacity. We do not use server logs for advertising profiling.

Cookies and trackers. TaskCompass does not run third-party advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or session-replay tools. The site sets one short-lived preview cookie used only by the editorial team during pre-publish review; it is not set for ordinary visitors. If we add an analytics tool later, it will be a privacy-respecting one (no cross-site identifiers) and this page will name it.

Affiliate-link clicks. When you click a vendor link on this site, the request first hits our internal redirect at /go/<key>, which 302-redirects to the vendor's page with a referral parameter. We do not transmit your IP, email, or any other personal data to the vendor — only the referral parameter that identifies TaskCompass as the source. Once you reach the vendor's page, that vendor's privacy notice applies to whatever you do there.

Data deletion and corrections. If you have written to TaskCompass and want your message deleted from our inbox, write to [email protected] and we will remove it within 14 days. We do not maintain a separate reader database to delete from.
